You don't need us to tell you about Elton - after 250 million records sold, chance are good that you've bought some of his music at some point in your life. Complex melodies and arrangements, powerful piano and soulful vocals are his trademarks, and we will bring all of that power and nuance to you this September. We will feature a large ensemble for this show, including multiple keyboards and guitars, a large dose of Tributosaurus Strings, and the Paleolithic horns. Paul Bolger of Mr. Blotto will join in the fun, as will many of our favorite guests, to celebrate Elton's catalog. We'll largely be sticking to Elton's sweet spot in the earlier half of his career, but there may be a later tune or two that find their way into the set...you never know until you see it live! We're only going to do one show, but we'll do it 2 nights in a row! Tributosaurus X Show #2 - Elton John
2 Nights next week at Martyrs

Springsteen was an amazing kickoff to our tenth year, and we will continue rolling right along as we move to one of the great singer/songwriters of our time...Elton John. You don't need us to tell you about Elton - after 250 million records sold, chance are good that you've bought some of his music at some point in your life.

Complex melodies and arrangements, powerful piano and soulful vocals are his trademarks, and we will bring all of that power and nuance to you this September. We will feature a large ensemble for this show, including multiple keyboards and guitars, a large dose of Tributosaurus Strings, and the Paleolithic horns. Paul Bolger of Mr. Blotto will join in the fun, as will many of our favorite guests, to celebrate Elton's catalog.

We'll largely be sticking to Elton's sweet spot in the earlier half of his career, but there may be a later tune or two that find their way into the set...you never know until you see it live! We're only going to do one show, but we'll do it 2 nights in a row! However, the Wednesday show sold out in a hurry, and the Thursday is moving fast - so come on out to Martyrs' on September 7th (SOLD OUT) OR 8th at 7PM to feel the love that night...that's what friends are for, right?

August is here, and with it, the 10th year of Tributosaurus. Thanks to all of our new Tributosaurus X subscribers - it's going to be one hell of a ride!

We start off our tenth year celebration with one of the biggest and best we've ever done - The Boss. Things are starting to get little trickier as we progress, so there will be more interesting musical ensembles and instruments appearing here, and the band continues to grow slightly as we head towards the instrumental excess that the boys achieved in 1967. The Beatles Volume 4 shows at Martyrs' at the beginning of the month were fantastic, and we know many of you were unable to get in to the shows, so we have added another show this Friday night at Fitzgerald's in Berwyn (6615 Roosevelt Road). Tickets have been selling quickly, so be sure to get yours as soon as you can if you don't want to miss your chance at the last Volume 4 show!

Last December we left you hanging in our ridiculous quest to play everything the Beatles ever recorded in order by stopping in the middle of Rubber Soul.....well it's time to pick it up where we left off. This June we continue on through 1965 and finish Rubber Soul off, so a few singles also from that year, and move into 1966 for what many regard as their greatest album - Revolver.

This record was an unparalleled musical achievement - it heralded the beginning of the psychedelic era, and was much more electric than Rubber Soul. It was a clear defined line in the Beatles development, and marked another paradigm shift that they introduced into pop music in general. We TOLD you we wouldn't forget!

As many of you know, February's totally uncalled for snowmageddon caused us to cancel the Kool & the Gang show, which many of you had bought tickets for and were all ready to brave the elements to be there, we're sure. Well, we're not about to let a completely funky, not to mention fully rehearsed, show languish in obscurity - so it's ON, baby!

It's the next installment in Tributo's epic quest to play every song the Beatles ever recorded. As we continue to follow the progress of the Boys, we're starting to get into the meat of the catalog - instrumentation is expanding, they are experimenting with different grooves, and the songwriting of John and Paul is in its' full flower - it's 1965. Almost every other band on earth would be lucky to produce an album as good as Help! or Rubber Soul once in their career - but the Beatles created both in the same year. We'll start with the 3 singles they released early that year (because 2 records is just not enough), give you all of Help!, and then Side A of Rubber Soul. With things getting more complicated in their world, so they must also in ours - we will pick up where we left off in the next installment. The December Beatles shows were fantastic, but we know there were many of you who could not get in to the shows, and many of you who want to see it again, so we've added another show in January. It's the next installment in Tributo's epic quest to play every song the Beatles ever recorded. As we continue to follow the progress of the Boys, we're starting to get into the meat of the catalog - instrumentation is expanding, they are experimenting with different grooves, and the songwriting of John and Paul is in its' full flower - it's 1965.

Almost every other band on earth would be lucky to produce an album as good as Help! or Rubber Soul once in their career - but the Beatles created both in the same year. We'll start with the 3 singles they released early that year (because 2 records is just not enough), give you all of Help!, and then Side A of Rubber Soul. With things getting more complicated in their world, so they must also in ours - we will pick up where we left off in the next installment. Remeber, these are the UK releases, so the songs may not be on the albums you think, and the order might be a little different than you remember - but they're all there - don't miss it!
